Right, I should have been more clear about this. I'm talking about
non-X-capable terminal sessions like SecureCRT, serial connections, Linux
without XFree86, etc. So it needs to be ncurses, s-lang, or something
similar.

Yeah, XEmacs has fairly sophisticated color hilighting I think...
