Expirience in using expect (PyExpect) functionality

Have you seen http://pexpect.sourceforge.net/, a pure python expect
implementation.  I'm making much successful use of pexpect.

before starting with PyExpect I would like to know if there is an 
alternative because PyExpect seems not to be maintained anymore ?
Is someone using PyExpect successfully here ?
