X-faces decoding with Python

[Nemesis]

Hi all, 
  I'm looking for a x-faces decoder written in python, I'd like to 
include it in my project.
  I only found a C-module (part of the Facemail mailer) that requires 
python's header files for the building process.
  Can anyone help me?
