It was never ment that way:(  Originally my post had a smiley, but silly
me thought there ought to be a question mark too and I dropped the smiley.

This was one of the things that were not well defined in the early
days of Pascal, and IIRC even in Jensen and Wirth 2e edition this
still is undefined, so it better be ment rather jokingly too:)
