disksuage question, stat.py

hi,

i'd like to write my own "du" programm in python for a faster and simpler 
handling of my requirements. stat.py is available and works fine. But i can 
not ask for amount of blocks used by a file or the blocksize use by this 
file.

i know that ST_BLOCK and ST_BLKSIZE are not available on all operating 
systems. But it is on Linux Redhat. So my question is, do i have do run 
configure with any special options to enable this or is it just not 
implemented?
