Python's 8-bit cleanness deprecated?

Yip, but __future__ is really such a special thing (nobody
knows what may come out of it) you don't really want to duplicate
this specialness.  I assume that such ideas have been discussed 
on Python-Dev but i am too lazy to check it (sorry).
