Emacs has eaten my python tabs!!!

No help for it now... you'll just have to replace
all the tabs with spaces (or run a tool that corrects
tab positioning in Python source).
The standard library module "tabnanny.py" can be used
to *find* ambiguous tab/space mixtures, but it doesn't
fix them for you.
