You made an excellent point while being very diplomatic. Great post!
But these are the same people who create 'script' directories,
place '.sh' and '.pl' extensions on the main executables making it
difficult to migrate it to another language and to follow conventional
(UNIX at least) source versioning, and generally don't get it.
Errr ... then, of course, there is this '*.py' extension convention ...
