Boomslang.

I know, there's no such thing... There was an Agatha Christie story from years
ago that mentioned an "African boomslang" as a poisonous snake. Stephen King
invented a "Peruvian boomslang", borrowed from her, that he used in the short
story "Autopsy Room Four" which is in his anthology "Everything's Eventual".

Here are some of the ways the name works that I can see:

+ The boomslang is very small - like a grass snake - but has incredibly powerful
poison.

+ The name is memorable and easy to pronounce.

+ The "slang" in the name carries the connotation of a specialty "little
language" that is a subset of a formal language.

The full name would of course be "Boomslang Python".
