Memory usage while printing

I am developing an application for windows using wxPython. I need to be able
to print about 25 pages of drawings made on a wxDC. While printing my memory
usage goes through the roof and steals all my memory. I have checked the
code and I dont think there are any memory leaks. Does anyone know of a good
way to get around this?
