$ strings `which python` | grep "too many"
too many values to unpack
too many statically nested blocks
too many levels of indentation               <---------
too many groups
XXX too many states!
range() result has too many items
xrange() result has too many items
xrange object has too many items

Looks there is some sort of limit :)
