converting float to int issue

It was a problem with GCC , specific compiler options, and glibc,
that's what I deduced from that forum.

Scary. My linux box has GCC 3.2.2 and glibc 2.3.1, am I safe?
The installed python works fine (Mandrake 9.1 RPM).
