a little OT: how to handle this email list?

Hi Matthew Wilson,

I have a pop3-mailbox and finally store the whole Python-List locally on 
my Computer hoping that the Mozilla-Maiil can handle this amount of 
emails. Maybe there's a feature in your IMAP-Client to "store local and 
del from server".

Just killing threads (as mentioned in other answers) seems OK to me, 
because you can stil get those threads on gmane.org
