Yep, and a good companion volume, also online is
How To Design Programs
http://www.htdp.org/2001-11-21/Book/
Which is a more hands on, day to day type scheme tutor but
emphasises all the same principles. It's less math oriented
that SICP which might appeal to some.
But SICP is definitely the more "life changing" in impact.
