Metakit is not a SQL database, but it might be fine
for you.  It's *trivial* to download, install, and
experiment, and the web page for it shows pretty much
all you need to know in a straight-forward fashion.

Given that this is Python, with the interactive prompt
and all, there's no excuse for not trying it out. :-)
