Go to the bottom of the page

http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-checkins

under "Python-checkins Subscribers", fill in your email address and 
click "Unsubscribe or edit options".  Fill in the "password" field on 
the next page and click "Log in".  The topic option should be near the 
bottom of the page.
