Running Python interpreter in Emacs

I have the following in my .emacs:

(add-to-list 'load-path "C:\Program Files\Python24")

Is that enough? I didn't see anything similar to that in your .emacs
file, so I'm wondering if I'm supposed to add the path to my PATH
elsewhere.
