Why can't you use varargs and keyword arguments together?

You just need to turn things around:

  >>> def foo(a, b, c):
  ...     return a, b, c
  ...
  >>> args = range(2)
  >>> foo(c=2, *args)
  (0, 1, 2)
  >>>
