Perhaps:
try:
for attribute in ['foo', 'bar', '__baz__']:
getattr(mystery_object, '__%s__' % attribute)
except AttributeError:
# Do sumthin bout it
Is it wrong to 're-raise' an exception with application-specific
details within an except clause?
