Python - ogr2ogr

Hi, 
I need to do web service, which will be convert vector formats, like shapefile, dgn, mapinfo..(and other formats, which are supported in ogr2ogr).  I want to do it with using ogr2ogr in the ogr python module, but i am newbie in python, so here is my questions. Is here anybody, who wrote any similar scripts and can give it me? If not, can at least anyone point me to few examples of using ogr2ogr in the ogr 
python module?
