Could zipfile module process the zip data in memory?

Try something like this:

from zipfile import ZipFile
from StringIO import StringIO
filelikeobj = StringIO(zipFileData)
zipp = ZipFile(filelikeobj, 'r')
for name in zipp.namelist():
    # etc etc etc
