Easy :)
I'll show you by example:
>>> ham = [[1,2,3],[4,5,6]]
>>> ham
[[1, 2, 3], [4, 5, 6]]
>>> ham[0]
[1, 2, 3]
>>> ham.remove([4,5,6])
>>> ham[0]
[1, 2, 3]
>>> ham
[[1, 2, 3]]
