Cannot find text in *.py files with Windows Explorer?

I think it goes something like this...
Right-click My Computer -- manage -- services and applications -- 
right-click indexing service -- properties -- generation -- check 
Index files with unknown extensions

Note: turning on indexing is not necessary.
