can't retrieve data from pyxml

well, i need to retrive data from the following line of xml.

     <xs:element name="tblTreacherCollins.Microtia"
msdata:Caption="Microtia" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0" />

i need the Caption and the type data.

is any one out there help me doing that?
