For two 1D ndarrays, the cross-correlation is
from numpy.fft import rfft, irfft
from numpy import fliplr
xcorr = lambda x,y : irfft(rfft(x)*rfft(fliplr(y)))
Normalize as you wish, and preferably pad with zeros before invoking
xcorr.
