AttributeError: 'SSLSocket' object has no attribute 'producer_fifo'

I am getting the following error when I try to run my program to post
and receive xmls to an https server.

AttributeError: 'SSLSocket' object has no attribute 'producer_fifo'
Does any one know what is wrong here?
