lxml 2.2.4 on python3.1, Windows XP gives importerror

Processor is Intel Pentium 32 bit. 

import platform
print (platform.architecture()) gives -> ('32bit', 'WindowsPE')

Are you by any chance running 64-bit Python (whereas the lxml binary you
have installed is 32-bit)?

C:> python -c "import platform; print platform.architecture()"
