I'd go one step further:
styles = [
("normal", "image", MainWindow.ColorsNormalList),
("highlighted", "highlight", MainWindow.ColorsHighlightedList),
("selected", "select", MainWindow.ColorsSelectedList),
]
Keeping the []s separate from the items and using the trailing comma means that
I can easily add new items or reorder the items.
