Monkey patching is not a good idea.
class EventFilter(QObject):
def eventFilter(self, object, event):
# example: window is resized
if event.type() == QEvent.Resize:
object.resize()
return True
event_filter = EventFilter()
form = Form()
form.installEventFilter(event_filter)
