This is wrong. A line with an open parenthesis is continued automatically:
>>> zip("abc",
... "def")
[('a', 'd'), ('b', 'e'), ('c', 'f')]
>>> ("abc"
... "def")
'abcdef'
>>> 1 + 2 + (
... 3)
