deal with cookie in python 2.3

Dear All,
 
right now I use python to capture data from a internal website. The website uses cookie to store authorization data. But there is no HttpCookieProcessor in python 2.3? Is there anybody know, how to deal with cookie in python 2.3? and could give me a sample code?
