Yes, I agree. In my mind the logic is:-
IF xxx
AND yyy
AND zzz
OR aaa
THEN do something
The PEP8 correct(er):-
IF xxx AND
yyy AND
zzz OR
aaa
THEN do something
... just seems all wrong and difficult to understand.
