Not completely.
"pickle" operates on objects - and calls "__getstate__" and "__setstate__"
internally. Thus, you get something like:
client = Client()
pickle.dump(client, open(fn, "wb"))
....
recreated_client = pickle.load(open(fn, "rb"))
