Why would you think that this would work?

Something like:
#!/usr/bin/env python3
import csv
with open('testcsv.csv', newline='') as csvfile:
reader = csv.reader(csvfile, delimiter='\t')
for row in reader:
for i in range(2, 5):
row[i] = float(row[i])
print(row)
You could convert the first two columns to datetime format if you wish.
