My suggestion would be to submit a bug report on python-mode's SF page:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=86916&atid=581349

Add as much of your analysis as you can.  Also, if possible, please
generate a diff an attach it to your bug report (try not to paste diffs
in).

At least this way, the issue won't get buried in our inboxes.
