Hi everyone,

wow this is actually good news. Thanks for your response Bayo and Osemeka.

As regards the DjangoGirls event, thanks to CCHub who would be hosting us.
It's set to happen on the 19th and 20th o February next year and the moment
the website is live with all the necessary information I would do a press
release here. Thanks for offering to help we would defintely need help with
mentors who would coach the women as well as sponsors for the event. But
the big picture is 30 women, 10 coaches and a bit of Django awesomeness.
Would provide more details later.

As regards the Python community thanks to Naomi Ceder who is on the PSF
board and helped bring to live this mailing list after a really long time
of inactivity, she assures us of any support needed and it would be
possible to create a working group of the PSF board to promote Python in
Nigeria.
A more pressing conversation which led me to checking the mail list was
this conversation
http://radar.techcabal.com/t/python-django-developers-community-in-nigeria/1416/10
and also another passionate community member Olabayo Onile-Ere did a post
too
http://radar.techcabal.com/t/python-the-community-and-my-first-post/3346/2
There are also a number of Nigerian Pythonistas who are also interested in
getting a community started. The most important thing is that there is an
active mailing list where other Pythonistas can come and throw and share
ideas, then we could definitely organize our first meetup afterwards. I'll
put a post on there in the forum directing everyone interested in being
part of the community to subscribe to this mailing list and we can get the
conversation started and the ball rolling on promoting Python in Nigeria.

Greetings,
Aisha
