Compromise:
Since I posted it seems 'highly likely' that I have persuaded
Eric Raymond to be keynote speaker on the Open Source
track, and that they will be receptive to suggestions
from us about what goes in that track. Assume Open
Source is Wed/Thu and Python Fri/Sat, so we can do both.
Let's ask Dale what topics he'd really like to hear about
and try to put them on Friday, and see if anything not-pure-
Python-but-interesting-anyway goes into the Open Source
track on Thursday?
I am pretty sure that the "crossing a Saturday" thing
and the chance of a nice weekend break will attract
Europeans and maybe even Guido again.
The dinner will definitely be on friday night,
we have no influence over that....
