I’m glad to announce that we will have Riley Doyle, Jon Staley and Pete
Graham who will be sharing their experiences with Pyramid via a

*Talks:*

*'king forms* by Jon Staley

Summary: A quick intro to deform & colander and how we wrangled them to do
what we wanted.

-----

*Script to Web: lessons learned adapting technical/domain-specific code to
the web* by Riley Doyle

Summary: Python is an increasingly popular language for "domain experts" in
technical fields such as bioinformatics and finance, yet most end users
will not accept a script or command line application as a final
deliverable. Pyramid's lack of "strong opinions" about which database or
ORM to use can be frustrating for developers new to the web, but ultimately
this flexibility is a key long-term advantage for large, complex
domain-specific data sets. This talk will cover key lessons learned in
building an advanced "DNA Search Engine" with Pyramid.

----

*First impressions with Pyramid* by Pete Graham

After building some applications for client based on Pyramid, Pete will be
sharing his first impressions of pyramids and how it compares to other
frameworks

----

*Pub after 8pm:*
