Hello all,
I recently installed the 2.2+ distribution of python to my HP Jornada =
568 (StrongARM/PocketPC2002) and I noticed that the "from __future__ =
import generators" statement does not work from the interpreter. Has =
anyone else noticed this or does anyone have a work-around? I am =
currently using my pocketpc to hack out algorithms (quicker than waiting =
for my laptop to boot!) and generators would be nice.
Regards,
jwb

Subject: [PythonCE] Python Source Code
Message-ID: <000801c335f7$6439ce10$6701a8c0@arrakis>
Hi,
I noticed that the latest CE code is for the PocketPC 2000 machines. I have
an original PocketPC (SH3) and a Jornada 820 clamshell (ARM) that I would
like to use Python on. Is it possible to get a copy of the CE source code?
I'd like to recompile it for these older platforms.
Thanks for your help,
Paul

I have an older version of the CE code, but it's still CE 3.0 specific. You want CE 2.11
support and that's going to be much more difficult to support because the older
versions don't have a good C runtime library. So fopen and friends will have to be
emulated.
You might check Mark Hammond's website for his original patches that work with CE
2.11, but they're for an older version of Python.
Meanwhile, CE 3.0 source is here:
ftp://ftp.murkworks.com/beta/pyceall3.zip
Still a bit dated :-(

Check the PythonCE wiki for the most recent news.
Unfortunately telion (the person running the wiki) has vanished, so it's dated.
