[Pythonmac-SIG] Pmw Blues

I downloaded the "Python Mega Widgets" from

http://www.dscpl.com.au/pmw/

and tried all the examples on my Mac as well as an SGI. The results on the Mac are nothing short of disastrous: about one in four examples causes Python to crash. The SGI performs beautifully.

Is anybody experiencing the same problems? Any suggestion for a truly portable GUI framework?
