[Pythonmac-SIG] GUI suggestion?

Hi all,

I'm still working on my MIDI-sysex librarian/editor (if anyone has a
contact at Roland-Japan and can get a sysex map for the VG-8, I'd be ever
so grateful!) and will soon be ready to start on a user interface.

What I would love to do is to allow the user to drag & drop patches between
windows to build collections of patches and within a window to reorder
them. I guess that I would be displaying columnar lists of patch names &
numbers.

For reference, I have not done any GUI stuff outside of Tk on UNIX and
OpenStep. Does the Framework module have enough in it for this kind of
thing, or do I have to build the GUI in PowerPlant and make my own
interface for it to Python?

I am not happy with the appearance or stability of the Mac Tk port, so I'd
rather go native. I don't think Tk supports drag & drop, anyway.

Any suggestions, pointers to examples, etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill
