[Pythonmac-SIG] Generating QuickTime from MacPython?

I think all the necessary toolbox calls are available from the Qt module. 
I made an attempt once but got lost somewhere in the bowels of quicktime. 
There are several layers that need python wrappers. Movie -> Track -> 
Media -> Data. Ugh. 

But I'd be just as intested to hear if someone got something useful :)
