Sorry, 2.0 will still be classic. MacPython is 99% ready for the Carbon 
transition, and I have a carbon MacPython running, but the underlying I/O 
library, GUSI, isn't publicly available for Carbon yet. And that would result 
in a Python that doesn't know about sockets and select, so that seems hardly 
worth the trouble. A 2.0-Carbon will become available as soon as possibly, but 
later than 2.0-Classic.
