[Pythonmac-SIG] Problems with MacPython 2.1b1 and Tkinter etc.

Hello,

I installed MacPython 2.1b1. Now I am running into problems using tkinter:
_tkinter could not be found. Also ped and example2 in the Mac:Demo-folder
crash.

Are there any hints or advices?

I am using a PMac 8200 (similar to 7200, but in tower case) and MacOS 8.1.

Can anyone give a recommendation what the latest version of MacPython is
that would run fine on this system?

P.S.: 1.5.2 did run with tkinter here, but I want to give the newer MP a try.
