[Pythonmac-SIG] test_locale failing on Mac OS X - for everyone?

Folks,
in command-line Python, if I do "make test" test_locale is one of the
tests that always fails. And, indeed, I have no /usr/shares/locales/en
or en_US.

Does this test fail for everyone, or are there people that see it
succeed, and is this failing somehow related to my setup?
