[Pythonmac-SIG] Python IDE does not play well with Netscape 6

Setup:

Mac G3, 160 MB RAM, OS 8.6, Python 2.0, Python IDE

Situation:

with Netscape 6.1 Preview Release 1 launched, launch Python IDE.  Get message :
ImportError: List.ppc.slb: too many files open

Quit Netscape and Python IDE launches fine.

Any clues?
