Still waiting after all these years.....

AKAIK, no one with both the time and the required skills has stepped
forward to do it.

Probably not. Different event loops are always a problem with Python
IDEs, so it will probably not work for the same reason the tkinter
doesn't work. HOwever, you should get Boa constructor and/or PyCrust, so
it won't be too big a loss.
