You should not use the first '/'. Try to checkout 'translation/fr/src/mac'
instead.

Well, if you have MacCvs 3.2b9 or superior (I recommend using the last one,
b11 I believe), the settings button in the CVSROOT preferences tab lead to
the ssh preferences.

That should do it, let me know if it gonfles again.
