[Pythonmac-SIG] CVS & MacPython Scripts?

Has anyone on this list tried to save any of their Python codes under
the CVS system on OS X?
I recently imported a set of codes into the CVS system and when I
checked them out, MacPython no longer wanted to recognize them,
returning with a dialog that they were not Python scripts. Even the
MacPython icons were gone from the files.
Double-checking line-ending issues seemed to make them so I could at
least generate .pyc files, but could not run an actual script.
Trying to force the application type as Python didn't work either.
Not sure if it's important, but the CVS repository was mounted on a
volume on another OS X system. I've not had any significant problems
(after the initial learning curve) with my codes under Project
Builder and CVS.
Anyone else have any experience with this and/or other suggestions?
Thanks,
Tom
