your description was impeccable! (Hmm, is that english? Can a 
description be impeccable? Anyway, it was good:-)

For Skips peace of mind I'd only like to add that the names MachoPython 
and AquaTk will disappear shortly. OSX Open Source development is still 
in a transitional phase, where often you have the choice between an old 
OS9-compatible product, it's old unix counterpart, and a partial 
experimental integration of the two.

For reference you can compare the current situation with how the 
Windows world looked when Win95 was just out: DOS versions, Win3.11 
versions, Win32s versions and Win95 versions of the same program all 
around...
